Keepin' busy

Two new patchwork scarves:

These seem to be really popular lately! I love the combination of quilter's cotton, silks and upholstery fabric. The yellow scarf is backed in wool felt and the green scarf is backed in fleece. Nice and warm! And who doesn't love to rid themselves of at least part of the scrap stash we're all guilty of having?

Business stuff is keeping me insanely busy lately and I know it's only going to get more and more nuts. I actually look forward to it.

And because I couldn't resist, I leave you now with a touch more cuteness:

he's a cutie-face. What kind of dog is he?

She's a lab/Pit bull mix...the most sweet and gentle dog you'll ever meet. She loves the camera, can you tell?

aww...I thought she looked a little like a pit in the last picture you posted. Our puppy Zen is a pitt, but I tell people who ask that he is a Staffordshire Terrier, because it sounds less intimidating!

It's so horrible the way people react when you mention the dreaded "Pit" word. In my experience, though, they're the greatest dogs you can have around. Luckily, Olive looks enough like a lab that most people don't even ask.
