Today

Tattoo day!

I checked out the sketches yesterday and I like what she's come up with. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'm normally a control freak and decide on each and every tiny detail when it comes to my tattoos. With this one, I'm leaving it up to her to decide on where things are going. I'm nervous and excited and freaked out and ecstatic all at the same time. Feels like my wedding day, but with much less rain.

Tomorrow:

Mr. B.

Excitement!
Did it pour on your wedding day? We are thinking of having our reception outside and I hadn't even considered a tent until my mom brought it up - i guess it wouldn't be a bad idea, just in case.
I was just envisioning an open space outside, tent free & it looks so much more beautiful.

Pour? Hurricane Ivan ruined our wedding day completely. We wanted a low-key, casual BBQ and beer style wedding (but classy, not all trailer park-y) at a gorgeous place right on a lake. Instead we had about 150 people in jeans and sneakers relocated to a bizillion dollar ballroom. Horrible, and nothing like I wanted. If you have your heart set on an outdoor wedding, please, please, please make second plans in case the weather decides not to agree with you. You'll be grateful you thought ahead...trust me.

thank you for the advice - that's kind of what we are planing, laid-back, picnicy, southern style good time out side in Savannah. But, alas, I guess a tent would be wise...

And if you're planning a fall wedding, maybe plan on some rain boots too. Our date was September 18th. Never in a million years did I think a hurricane would blow in that late in the year, but it did. Bummer.
