Raw Russian emeralds (above) and weird phallic shaped fossils (below), also from Russia, at the NYS Gem and Mineral (and bead) show last weekend. Yep, spent too much money and had to elbow some kids, but it was fun. I love the sign tucked in with the fossils. It reads "Nature Is Responsible For These Shapes". I can only imagine the kinds of questions people ask the poor vendors about them. Anyone know what they are???
