a brilliant idea...

...that turned into a ton of work in a very short period of time.

I'm in the process of redesigning the window in the shop (thank god!!!) and had all these plans that sounded so wonderful I couldn't wait to get started. Reality has settled in, though, and this is going to be a buttload of work.

So here's where I ask for help, dear friends.

If you happen to live in this area and have nothing going on tonight, feel free to stop by the shop and get messy! I'll be here until 9:30 because tonight marks our very first knitting class, but I'm not taking the class this time around so I'll have hours of empty time to make these little leaves. Interested in taking part in the creative process? If not, stop by anyway and make funny faces at me or something to keep me from going mad. I'll need the laughs, trust me.
I'll be sure to post pictures of the finished window when it's all done. I've been ashamed of it since I first opened my doors, but it's all we had time for and I'm just now getting around to fixing the problem with something permanent. If all goes as planned, I'll have it done within a week. Fingers crossed.

Sounds like my kind of fun! Wish I was closer :(

I know, that totally sucks. It's not hard work by any means, but an assembly line style of work would be so much more efficient. Hopefully I can get some local people involved. We shall see.

Well, your #1 most favorite helper of all is coming in for the first class tonight, so maybe i can stay a little longer to help again. We knocked 50plus off last night in a very short period of time so maybe we can do that many more tonight....

it's enough to make me go insane.

Oh wait, that's not doing a damn thing to help me bring in assistance.

It's a TON of fun, kids! You know you want to!

Wish I lived in your neck of the woods. I love all things tedious and monotonous!
